1) If you are experiencing itchiness keep in my mind it is due to new skin being exposed to environmental elements.

4) Avoid sun exposure as much as possible for a minimum of 7 days post treatment. If you must be in the sun, apply SPF 30 or greater, reapply often, wear a wide brimmed hat, and seek shade when possible. You must be careful of sun exposure.

5) Avoid excessive heat 3 days post treatment, i.e. heavy workouts, steam rooms or saunas, etc.

6) Avoid chlorine for 24 hours.

7) Avoid facial waxing for 7 days.

8) Avoid Dermal Fillers or Botox for 2 to 4 weeks based on area.

9) Do not pick, scratch, or aggressively rub the treated area.

10) No scrubs, polishers, or aggressive brushes should be used for 7 to 14 days.

MICRONEEDLING: EXTRA ADVICE

1) It is imperative that you let your skin “breathe” and recover for 24 hours after the procedure. The skin channels are open, and using a makeup brush can penetrate the pores, especially if they are very thin, causing further irritation. Using a makeup brush that has been used before can contaminate the skin and, consequently, lead to infections. Wait 24 to 48 hours before you apply face makeup to give your skin the necessary recovery time

2) Avoid alcohol-based toners for 10-14 days

3) Do not have another facial treatment for at least 2 weeks after your Micro-needling treatment.

4) Your skin may be more red/swollen than usual for 2-3 days post treatment. It is common and expected that your skin will also be itchy and/or irritated. Swelling and burning are normal immediately after the procedure which normally subsides up to 24 hours post procedure.

5) Lack of visible improvement is not an indication that the Micro-needling treatment was unsuccessful. If you do not notice visible improvement, please note that you are still receiving all the benefits of the Micro-needling treatment, such as stimulation of collagen production, improvement of skin tone and texture, diminishment of fine lines and wrinkles and increased nutrient uptake of the skin post procedure.
