Post-Treatment Aftercare for all Treatments.

Your skin has been stimulated and renewed. Following these guidelines will protect your results and support optimal healing and results. By having any treatment, you consent form will ask you to sign that you are happy you have read and understood the aftercare advice. You will also have many opportunities with Hannah to discuss aftercare further.

 

First 24 Hours

  • Keep skin clean and avoid touching unnecessarily

  • Avoid make-up (24-48 hours if possible)

  • Avoid excessive heat and sweating (e.g.saunas, steam rooms, intense workouts)

  • Avoid chlorine (swimming pools, hot tubs etc)

  • Let your skin breathe and recover

  • Mild redness, warmth, tightness or slight itchiness is normal. This is simply fresh skin adjusting to the environment.

  • Put on a fresh pillow case, and change for fresh towels. Avoid wearing scarves or perfume in the neck area.

  • Avoid actives in your skincare to allow for healing (e.g. AHAs, BHAs, Retinols/Vitamin A and C)

From 24 Hours Onwards

  • Cleanse gently with cool or lukewarm water

  • Apply a plain hyaluronic acid serum or light moisturiser

  • Apply SPF 30+ daily (essential for the first 7 days)

  • Reapply SPF regularly if exposed to daylight; but avoid UV exposure where possible.

For 7–14 Days

  • Avoid direct sun exposure where possible

  • No scrubs, exfoliants or aggressive cleansing brushes

  • Continue to avoid retinol, AHA/BHA acids or active resurfacing products

  • Avoid facial waxing or any other treatments.

  • Do not pick, scratch or rub the skin.

  • You may notice light peeling, dryness or a mild windburn sensation for a few days — this is part of the renewal process.

​Skin Hygiene Tips

  • Change your pillowcase the night of treatment

  • Clean phones and glasses /sunglasses regularly

  • Avoid prolonged contact between skin and hands

  • Do not pick, or touch the skin.

MICRONEEDLING ADDITIONAL ADVICE: â€‹

Microneedling creates temporary micro-channels in the skin, so extra care is important.

What to Expect

It is normal to experience:

  • Redness (similar to mild sunburn) for 24–72 hours

  • Mild swelling or tightness

  • Warmth or sensitivity

  • Dryness or light flaking

  • Temporary pinpoint marks

These effects are expected and typically resolve within a few days.

If you experience excessive swelling, severe pain, blistering, prolonged redness (beyond 5 days), or signs of infection, you must contact the clinic or seek medical advice.

Important:

  • Microneedling creates temporary micro-channels in the skin, so extra care is important, as these are sight for possible infections.

  • Avoid make-up for at least 24–48 hours, the longer the better

  • Avoid alcohol-based toners for 10–14 days

  • Do not have further facial treatments for 4 weeks

  • Redness, swelling or sensitivity may last 2–3 days

  • Even if changes aren’t immediately dramatic, collagen stimulation continues beneath the surface. Improvements in firmness, tone and texture develop progressively over the following weeks.If you have any concerns during your healing process, please contact me for guidance. PERFECT PEEL POST PEEL INSTRUCTIONS

DAY 1-2
 

  • After application, the peel solution should remain on the treated area for at least 6-8 hours

  • During the first 6 hours, do not wash, touch, rub, or apply make-up to the treated area.

  • On evenings 1 and 2, gently wash the treated areA with water only and pat dry

  • On evenings 1 and 2, roughly 15 minutes before bedtime, vigorously apply a post-peel towelette (one on each evening) to the treated area. Let dry thoroughly. Please be aware the towelettes are a very important part of the peeling process, they can mildly sting and irritate on application, this is normal. Some irritation and discomfort is considered normal. If extreme, please consult with your medical professional that performed the procedure.

  • Suggested ways of alleviating any stinging, discomfort or itchiness: apply a cold compress against the irritated area; take ordinary pain relief tablets; take antihistamine tablets to help with itching.

  • Do not use any moisturising products on the treated area until peeling begins (Day 3-4)

  • Avoid sun exposure, excessing sweating sauna or heavy exercise during the peel process.

 

 

DAY 3-5

  • Peeling generally begins on Day 3

  • After peeling begins, apply The Perfect Peel Moisturiser (included in the patient home package to the peeling areas to control the peeling and relieve the tightness

  • Do not rub, pick or pull on the peeling skin, let the peeling occur naturally. Rubbing, picking or pulling may cause scarring. Dead skin can be removed with small scissors.

  • Gently wash (do not scrub) and pat dry the treated area morning and night, and apply The Perfect Peel Moisturiser as needed. A SPF should be applied every 2 hours in sun exposure. Or in the morning of every day.

DAY 6 and after..

  • The Peeling process is generally complete. Mild sloughing may still be occurring in some treated areas.

  • You may resume use of your normal skin care products unless otherwise advised by your practitioner

  • If the treated area becomes or remains irritated, wait until the sensitivity subsides.

  • Continue to protect your skin with a sunscreen

Acne 10+ Days..

  • For active and severe acne patients, a series of 3-4 treatments

  • Perfect Peel® treatments can be performed 4 weeks apart.

  • Continue to protect your skin with a sunscreen

INJECTABLES ADDITIONAL ADVICE: â€‹

What Is Normal After Treatment

The following reactions are common and expected:

  • Mild to moderate swelling

  • Redness at injection sites

  • Tenderness or sensitivity

  • Small raised bumps at injection points (may last 24–72 hours)

  • Bruising

  • Mild itching

These reactions usually settle within a few days. Bruising may take up to 7–10 days to fully resolve.

First 24 Hours

  • Do not touch, massage or apply pressure to treated areas

  • Avoid makeup for at least 12–24 hours

  • Avoid alcohol consumption

  • Avoid strenuous exercise

  • Avoid excessive heat (saunas, steam rooms, hot baths)

  • Avoid swimming pools or chlorinated water

Keep the area clean and allow injection points to close naturally.

For 48 Hours Post Treatment

  • Avoid active skincare (retinol, acids, exfoliants)

  • Avoid facial treatments, massage or dental procedures

  • Avoid sunbeds and direct sun exposure

​

For 2 Weeks

  • Avoid additional aesthetic treatments in the treated area

  • Avoid laser or energy-based treatments unless advised

  • Inform any healthcare professional treating you that you have recently had injectable treatment

Swelling Guidance

Swelling may be more noticeable the morning after treatment.
Sleeping slightly elevated and avoiding pressure on the treated area can help minimise this.

If needed, a clean cold compress may be applied gently (do not apply ice directly to skin).

​

When to Seek Medical Advice – URGENT

Although rare, complications can occur. You must contact the clinic immediately or seek urgent medical attention if you experience:

  • Increasing or severe pain

  • Skin blanching (white or pale patches)

  • Dusky, grey or mottled skin

  • Severe swelling worsening after 48 hours

  • Visual disturbances

  • Persistent headache

  • Signs of infection (heat, spreading redness, pus, fever)

These symptoms require urgent assessment, do not delay.
